What are transidentities?

TransID, short for Transidentity, is an umbrella term for people who are some kind of trans. It includes transgender, transspecies, transage, transabled, diarace (transrace), and more.

People might feel this way because of many reasons. Many feel as if they have a true self on the inside that does not match their current body. Many have a negative feeling (dysphoria) when there is not a match between their ideal self and current body. Being able to see themselves as their internal identity often makes them feel happy (euphoria). They may transition to alleviate dysphoria or gain euphoria (a positive, whole feeling). All transID people are different, and we all have different experiences.

Some say that they are transID because they were born that way. Others consider their transidentities to be influenced by trauma. For some, it is due to being a system. Many people in the community are fictionkin (identifying as a fictional character/species) or therian (someone who identifies internally as a nonhuman being, such as an animal). And some do not know why they are this way, just that they are who they are.
